About Board Meeting Summaries
This chapter will hold a public summary of each Board of Directors meeting, one page per meeting. A summary is published after the board approves that meeting's minutes, usually at the following quarterly meeting. Each summary covers the decisions made, the motions and how the votes went, any policies adopted, top-line finances (such as the quarter's net result and the membership count) and what happens next. Summaries do not include the names of donors or of members outside the board, individual dollar amounts, or discussion of board candidates. The full minutes are the legal record and are kept by the board.
